Having just used Internet Explorer, because Firefox wont allow a right click save image, and bookmarked the page in IE, I used Firefox for another webpage and when bookmarking to the same folder I had created in IE, I couldnt see the folder. Obviously Firefox and IE are not both able to write to the same folders (Favourites). I can see a tutorial on how to import Firefox bookmarks into IE, but that may overwrite those in there that dont match those since made by IE after using Firefox, or will it add entries into them and add new folders without killing folders not common to both progs ? How do I use IE to view FF bookmarks ?

If I need to use IE, will I see a folder that Firefox has made, or do I need to do this rigmarole before ever using IE now ?

I simply need Firefox to see and write to IE folders. Otherwise every time I save a site to a Firefox folder, I need to visit that site in IE and do the same bookmarking in there to keep everything matching.

If Firefox did everything IE did then I could just use it all the time, but it wont allow right click save image as, I do this a lot in ebay for example and only IE has that capability. Basic tasks and yet Firefox hasnt this. I have IE6 and as I was getting prompts to update browser and seeing people said Firefox was better I opted for Firefox, but these simple fundamental needs leave me struggling. I dont like what Msoft have done to the latest IE and prefer Firefox but for these two big issues.

You should be able to save images from Firefox as well as you can from IE, unless something is broken in your Firefox installation. When you right-click on an image, you should see a menu item for both Save Image As... and for View Image.
Don't you get those two contextual menu items?
Save Image As... works exactly like Save Picture As... does in IE. If you click on View Image, that image alone will open in the same tab or window, and you can use {Ctrl + S} to save it.

You could also open Tools > Page Info, then select the Media tab. Look through the images for that page in the list, you can click on each image and see a preview at the bottom of that tab; then use the Save As... button to save that image you are previewing.

Hi, On the Firefox installation there was no right click save image as, or even view image. I have had to now install a thrid part plugin to do so. Something wrong there if it should do so 'out of the box, though for a third part to have to make a plug in to save image, as others were also saying where is this option, tells me that Firefox need to take a look at such a well used function and ensure it works 'out of the box'.
