If Foxfire is installed why is IE8 required to remain installed-Win XP OS?
Lost access to att.net E-mail account while using Internet Explorer 8; error message was “Browser will not accept cookies”, att.net tech supports solution was to install Mozella Firefox and suggested not to uninstall IE8. Occurred after I tried this cookie procedure; Prevent cookies from getting on your computer again by changing your privacy settings. Access Internet Options in Internet Explorer or click "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Internet Options." Click the "Privacy" tab. Click the "Advanced" button. Select the check box beside "Override automatic cookie handling." Under Third-Party Cookies, click "Block." Under First-Party Cookies, click "Prompt." Select the check box beside "Always allow session cookies." This will allow you to determine on a per-incident basis whether you want a cookie on your computer. The next time you browse the Web, a window will pop up asking you whether you would like to allow or block the cookies. To reduce the number of pop-up windows you receive, be sure to select the check button by "Apply my decision to all cookies from this website." It is highly advisable not to uninstall IE. See this article: Uninstalling Internet Explorer.
If you wish to make Firefox your primary (default) browser, see instructions in this article: Make Firefox your default browser.
