The company that i work for is getting a new web based software and i would like to lock firefox to that software, so that no one can go to different websites. Basically i want to block the internet and have firefox only point to the web based software.

You can lock the prefs that set the connection (proxy) settings and other prefs that you want to prevent users from changing.
