Close but not what I mean, Select all the all url from the address bar and drag to create shortcut on desktop, got dozens from ff3 use em all the time.

This function apparently just does not work in FF4 (for me anyway)

Yes, I understood what you meant, but I was looking for a workaround for you. I believe it has something to do with your UAC setting rather than with Firefox. Try disabling that to see if makes any difference.

You can't drag selected text to the desktop to create a shortcut, that only works with a real link.
You can drag the website's favicon (location bar) or the tab on the desktop or use an extension.

Changed UAC control, this didnt fix it either. I can get it done by making a new folder in bookmarks, bookmarking it here and then it will from here it will drag to the desktop. what a hassle this is as are the extension things.

I think I will just roll back to the previous version. Or even try out another browser, pity they had to stuff ff like this, gona lose them some users in the long term

Another problem is that you can't drag a shortcut to a page that won't load. So if the favicon doesn't load then you can't save the URL.

Please fix this.
