with firefox 4.0.1 the main window loads fine.. but when i open a new window i see a 'firefox' tab with pull down menu on the left side. how do i get rid of this?? there are also 2 title bars with 2 close, minimize, and maximize buttons.. also when i close firefox and save the tabs, i get an usually large amount of windows open when i reopen firefox - way more than the 1 or 2 i had open when i closed it..

My guess is that you have a slightly incompatible extension installed that is causing that UI glitch in the new window. You're gonna have to do a little troubleshooting to discover the culprit, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised of that was caused by the Google Toolbar extension.

i removed the toolbar but nothing changed.. so i closed firefox and reopened and it now appears to be ok??? fingers crossed..
