There is no "LOCK" icon to show me a site is secure. It was always there before!

Every time I went to a secure site, such as my online bank, or to pay a credit card, there was ALWAYS a picture of a LOCK in the right hand corner. Now it is NEVER there. So I don't know if it's secure or not. Why has it disappeared since I updated my Firefox?

The Statusbar is gone and the "lock" with it. Security information about a web page is shown by the Site Identity Button. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Site+Identity+Button

You can add a padlock to the location bar with the Padlock add-on- https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/padlock-icon

The point is here that other browsers still have the lock icon and many banking websites point their users to look for the icon. Now people have to install add-ons for this (which often don't work anymore after FF is upgraded)

Why "fix" something which was good?
