Firefox natively opens a blank page when you open a new tab.

To disable the other behavior, please go to Tools > Addons > Extensions and disable the addon that is causing it. It can be "New Tab King" or something tabs-related.

More details: uninstalling add-ons

A lot of add-ons can cause this.

FOR FIREFOX 5.0: Instead of disabling all of your add-ons (because some of them are nice and useful) click on: Firefox>Add-ons>Extensions.

Try to disable some add-ons (one at a time) that you may have recently added or updated by clicking on the disable button. It will prompt you to "restart now." Once you restart, try opening a new tab. If the Bing search screen does NOT appear, then that extension is the cause of your problem. You can keep it disabled, remove it, or live with the Bing screen.

As a side note, Personas Interactive 1.1.1 was the cause of that problem for me. I just permanently removed it.

Cheers!
