Dear Leroy_H, I recommend downloading the free version of RevoUninstaller. Excorsise FF5. Go to FileHippo.com, one of my favorite, dependable sites, and click the Firefox 5 button. It will take you to the download page where all the previous versions are available. When I do something like that, I'll uninstall, then clean the works with CCleaner, also available at FileHippo, and a must have for me. I then defragment with Defraggler, also free, then I download what I want. A simple house cleaning and tidying just makes it easier on the machine, lessens the possibility of snags from floating bytes. Hope this helps, and much luck. ratguard
