EDITED

First, check here to make sure you are displaying images by default:

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Content > check "Load images automatically"

---

Also, it often helps solve strange web site problems to clear your Firefox cache.

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"

I had the same problem here. I disabled all add-ons and was almost ready to give up on Firefox. I cleared my cache and !Voila! problem solved. Thank You.
