I repeatedly get re-directed when I'm searching or clicking on a link on a particular page. This has happened a lot when I've put something in the search bar, gotten to google, and then am hijacked elsewhere rather than going to the address associated with the listed link. If I cut and paste the link in my address bar, I can get to where I want to go.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

I downloaded the programs that I could (not Windows Defender as I don't have Windows 7 and not Spybot because that seemed to require Windows Vista). It's much better now. Malware Bytes has been blocking some of the hijacking. One site keeps cropping up-- www.get-answers-fast.com. Is there a way to remove that process?

Again, THANKS!!!
