First Firefox opened so that toolbar not visible, now crash message received on attempting to open, so can't test opening in safe mode

Following update and interrupted checking for compabibility of add-ons, Firefox opened so enlarged that toolbars invisible so only exit was by closing down. Now crash notice appears on attempting to open. Crash reports sent, but no crash ID given

Hold the Shift key down when double-clicking the Firefox shortcut to get into the Firefox SafeMode.
