links at the top of the page do not work, neither does arrow to move up

Using the browser, when I move the cursor over the links at the top of the page they appear to be inactive. Also the arrow at the right top (right most column) does not move the page up. Everything below the top 5-7 lines work fine. Other browsers work fine so there is nothing wrong with the pc. I use windows 7 prof. and I just finished reloading Mozilla browser. Sophos cannot find a virus. Thanks
