just installed Ubuntu 11.04. Tried to view a You tube video (for the first time ever) and got the Alert error message, 'Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (rtsp) isn't associated with any program'. I'm very non-techy and just want to watch a video. Thanks for your understanding!

You can create these prefs to register the RTSP protocol.

This is an example with the GNOME MPlayer.

network.protocol-handler.app.rtsp "/usr/bin/gnome-mplayer"
network.protocol-handler.external.rtsp (true)
network.protocol-handler.expose.rtsp (false)
