Deleting a single bookmark: followed your directions; some delete, others do not. What's up??

Deleting a single bookmark. I followed your directions ( click on specific bookmark, click on star, select "remove from bookmark"); some delete, some don't. What's up??

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
