Every time I navigate to a new site, or a new script runs on a page, I get a popup window with two tabs:
The first is an index of my Firefox folder. The second is a blank page with "xn--< l?+epss?&,ik4?-qqa1fvrs4ajbj9d6duca5itf5g9cw6lwvvs27u3fa" in the address bar.
At least one set of these popups occurs every time I navigate to a new web page. Sometimes this happens up to 5 times at once!
This started happening after a computer crash. My IE no longer works, and Firefox is doing what I described above.
I even tried uninstalling and re-installing Firefox!!!!!

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
