How do I save a link to my desktop. In IE I used to save a link to my desktop for a website that I wanted to look at again. I guess I could bookmark it, but I usually only do that for sites that I visit often. In IE the option was under File > Send Link. Any ideas or suggestions?

Chosen solution

Matt_G, while your solution will work, I have to say that this is one area where IE's solution is superior to FF, imo. I often work with multiple windows open and maximized, and I find having to minimize/restore a window, then drag an icon to the desktop, to be rather cumbersome. Hopefully FF will incorporate it into a menu soon.

Hey terenceholt,

This is actually really easy to do. All you have to do is go to the webpage that you want to bookmark. Click on the site icon to the left side of the URL and drag the icon to your desktop.

It's probably easier to see it done, so you should look at the KB article Create a desktop shortcut to a website.

Hope this helps!
