I have an AOL account and I wish to change my password but a warning pops up about the security of Firefox which suggests I should not proceed, is it safe to proceed please?

I always use Firefox as my browser but have an email a/c with AOL (don't ask!!). I wish to change my password and when I sign into AOL and attempt to do so a warning pops up to say the security certificate has expired and I should not proceed to alter the password via Firefox. My AOL account keeps shutting me out and they seem to be unable to fix this so I have to enter AOL via another browser.
