Linkedin able to open in IE & Chrome, but not Firefox

I have no problem logging into linkedin using other browsers - IE version 9.0.8112.16421 AND google chrome! However unable to with Firefox.

First tried to uninstall and reinstalled Firefox 9.0.1 - didn't help

Then changed cookies session on the linkedin page by unchecking the "use default" and checked "allow" in the Set Cookies section of Permissions tab of "Page Info"...closed browser and reopened, went to linkedin.com...now got the error: 'The email address or password you provided does not match our records'.....yet the same email & password works on IE and chrome.

Wonder why I can log into linkedin from IE & chrome, but not firefox??

Is it possible that Firefox is inserting an incorrect saved password for LinkedIn? To clear saved passwords, try this dialog:

orange Firefox button > Options > Security > "Saved Passwords"

or

Tools menu > Options > Security > "Saved Passwords"

thanks for the suggestion...I did go to the the security > "saved passwords? area, and deleted the password saved for linkedin website...then closed the browser & opened up a new firefox browser session, went to linkedin, entered email and password and now nothing happens!! No error message...nothing. Firefox seems to just refresh the page...I end up on the same log in page, with username & password boxes blank.

I tried IE & chrome...still able to log in, no problems (passwords are not saved in these browsers either)...

You may want to try accessing LinkedIn without add-ons to see whether one of them might be interfering.

Before using Firefox's Safe Mode, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

You can enter Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Be careful not to "reset" anything permanently in the Safe Mode dialog if you didn't back up. Just click "Continue in Safe Mode"

Does that fix it?

(Note: Safe Mode is a diagnostic tool, you shouldn't have to use it all the time.)
