How can I prevent Adobe Flash from crashing so much?

The Adobe Flash plugin has consistently crashed at least twice a day since Firefox 5. I've gone through 3 separate PCs, WinXP and Win7, from Firefox 5 to Firefox 9, from Adobe Flash Player 9 to 11, and this is STILL a problem. When it crashes, it causes Firefox to either freeze for a full 60 seconds or permanently freeze and require shutdown. How has there not been any strides made to prevent these consistent crashes? Is there any way for me to read the crash reports that I keep sending Mozilla? Is there any way to keep Firefox from freezing when Flash decides it's time to crash?
