I can't open Firefox window: have reinstalled, restarted computer. FF shows up in dock. Click on it, Firefox menu bar shows up, is not grayed out, but unresponsive. To quit the program, I have to go to "Force quit" in Finder.

Chosen solution

Try to repair the disk permissions:

Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).
