I have this problem too. Only my Windows 7 Firefox is effected. I have a Mac OS 10.7 that works fine and works fine on my android phone. I didn't notice an update causing the problem. I have tried re-syncing my account to my Windows 7 machine and tried reinstalling Firefox (keeping my personal settings and configurations during uninstall), neither of which worked.

I've discovered a pattern.. I can connect from my android firefox, ubuntu firefox, windows firefox, but not from linux mint firefox..

So something must be wrong with the linux mint firefox. Obiously its not my sync account with the problem.

I was able to get this working by creating a new firefox profile following the solution provided here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/943171#answer-386975

Hope this works for everyone else. Good luck.
