How can I get the page title to be displayed in either the window's title bar or the location bar? My window is not maximized. I have the orange Firefox button and the default theme.

Page Title in the Titlebar has been gone since the Firefox 4 version. The developers felt the Page Title being on the Tab was sufficient.

This User Style restores it to the Titlebar.

To display the page title in the title bar,

  1. Install the Personal Titlebar extension and restart Firefox when prompted.
  2. Right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize.
  3. From the Customize Toolbar window that opens, drag the Titlebar Text item onto the menu bar (alongside File, Edit, View, etc.). At the top of this window you can also uncheck the various menu bar items if you don't want them displayed on the title bar.
  4. Click the Done button when finished.
