I run Windows 8, 64-bit.

Firefox suddenly crashed and refuses to start now, unless in safe mode. I've reinstalled a few times, no results.

Since I only use Firefox to use NoScript, this is useless to me. I tried disabling NoScript in safe mode and restarting, to see if it would and prove noscript to be the problem, but nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled
  • the default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored
  • the default toolbar layout is used (localstore-safe.rdf)
  • the Javascript JIT compiler is disabled
  • hardware acceleration is disabled
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

The hardware acceleration disabling worked. Thank you.

You're welcome

Yes, the crash report indicates a problem with Direct 3D, so disabling hardware acceleration should fix it like you reported.
