Why won't Pandora load?

more options

I've followed all the directions offered on this site but Pandora still will not load. When I go to the website, it starts loading, then the page goes white and that's the end of it. My version of the browser is up to date, I have the latest Flash, and, again, followed all the other instructions on the website. Chrome and Opera will load it.

I had that problem, and noticed that when Pandora first tried to load, my profile would appear for a second or two and then disappear, followed by a blank Pandora page which tried loading but was always unsuccessful...I also noticed that between that short time (between my profile page & the blank screen page) a Box would appear in the upper left of the screen & quickly disappear...finally saw it was a 'request to activate Adobe Flash Player' box...after many tries at first hitting the reload icon and then VERY quickly moving my cursor to the approximate spot that the "activate Flash Player' line was to make it's brief appearance, I finally was able to click on the line before it once again disappeared...another box appeared asking 'allow this time only' or 'always allow'...I clicked on 'always allow'...Pandora then loaded okay. I've closed Mozilla a couple times, re-opened & reloaded Pandora...so far, no more problems...not sure if this solves the problem long-term, but hope this helps others ... Jay

If your having issues with web pages you could try some of these things:

Reload the web pages and try bypassing the cache.

  • Press "Ctrl + Shift + R"
  • Hold down the Shift key and left click the Reload button

If this does not work, you can try fully clearing the cache and cookies from the website that is causing the problems.

Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.

To clear the cache:

  • Firefox in top left corner > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

To clear the cookies:

  • Firefox in top left corner > Options > Privacy > Show Cookies >Search for problematic website>Remove Cookies
