I received a message stating Waterfox is slow reset Waterfox. I went to help then troubleshoot information and there wasn't a "Reset Waterfox" box.

You only see a reset button on "Help > Troubleshooting Information" if Firefox has been started with the profile that is marked as Default=1 in the profiles.ini file and is selected if you launch the Profile Manager (command line switch -P)

You can set the browser.slowStartup.notificationDisabled pref to false on the about:config page to disable this notification.

It would be good however to investigate the cause if this slowness.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
