Thunderbird stopped working after installation of security update
After installation of security update 24.4.0 (20140316131045) Thunderbird cannot retrieve or send messages from any of my e-mail servers. There is no error message. I can see the new messages via webmail. Is there any way to uninstall this security update?

Make sure your firewall isn't blocking Thunderbird.
Changed the firewall setting for Thunderbird in Norton's Internet Security from "Auto" to Allow" and this fixed the problem. I had updated to a new version of Norton's on 3/11/14. Don't know why the problem did not manifest itself until the Thunderbird security update installed on 3/18/14.. Very happy it is now fixed!!! Thanks!!!
