How to log in when Firefox login requests 3 pieces of information but provides spaces for only 2?

When I attempt to log into Firefox help, the log in procedure requests two bits of information, Email and Password. When these two things are provided, an error message appears suggesting that UserName and PassWord don't match??? There is no place to provide a UserName. How do I get by this confusing and impossible procedure? (Note: After a bunch of fiddling around and trying other means to ask a question, I found that I was then somehow logged in???) I'm stumped.

[I have a screen shot of this problem but no way to include it with this question]

Hi,

You are indeed logged in. SUMO shouldn't even be able to redirect you to the log in page you are already signed in.
I'm showing the Username/Password combo, not the Email/Password.

We currently don't have any way to include a screenshot in your initial post but we hope to fix that this year. You can see the progress below. It's currently halted though.

You can add a screenshot by clicking the Browse button in your reply to me.

In my attempt to respond to a previous inquiry, I was instructed to either Register or Sign In. Once I attempted to sign, I was asked for my email and my password, which I entered correctly (several times). Each time I was advised that my Email and UserName did not match. At no point was my UserName requested nor was there a place to insert the information. Yes, I realize that I am logged in now, as I fear that once I log out, I may not be able to get back in.

The form I see (linked at the top of the page when my cookie finally expires) requires user name instead of email. You may have come in through a different path to a different form that needs some attention.

I have a screen shot of the "contradictory page." If there is a means and if it would be of any use, I could send you a copy to check over. Maybe it would shed some light as to how I got into that situation. Thanks.

Dale,

Yes it would help to see what you are seeing. You can upload the image by responding in a new post by clicking Browse.. and selecting your file, then clicking Post Reply.

Thanks

I'll try this in an attempt to send a screen capture photo. Perhaps it will show how I managed to bring up such a screen. Look at the right hand panel.

Hi Dale,

You're trying to log in to addons.mozilla.org. That's why you're getting that issue. support.mozilla.org and addons.mozilla.org don't utilize the same log in information. You have to create a separate account for both AMO and SUMO. You already have a SUMO account, your username (Dale7683) is register on SUMO not AMO.
