Firefox on Ubuntu randomly drops characters from bardodes scanned by external USB barcode scanner.
We are 100% sure that barcode scanner works properly - barcodes scanned into vi editor running in bash terminal windows works perfectly. Barcodes scanned into Google Chrome works perfectly too. It seems that the only application with this problem is Firefox.
For example we can scan 1234567890 and get 124567890 or 123456890.
Barcode scanner types characters extremely fast, probably this is a problem. The problem persists scanning into text fields in the Web pages and into the Firefox address bar too - so could not be a web-site problem. No addons installed.
How this problem could be fixed? We have the only option for now - switch to Google Chrome:-(
