My Gmail is typing very slow when in Firefox. I have checked other browsers and it is running fine. Why is this please?

IThank you in advance for any help provided.

Typing within my gmail has been painfully slow for the last few days, with it sometimes taking up to 10 seconds for what has been typed to appear. Initially I thought it maybe a virus affecting the whole computer, however having checked typind speed in Word documents, then my Gmail on Chrome it would seem this issue is localised to just when I use my gmail within Firefox. The typind speed of this message is perfectly fine!!!

I would welcome any advice on how to fix this, as Gmail is a huge part of my life and Firefox is very much my preferred browser.

Phil.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once for testing purposes?
