Javascript on Firefox not working

Yesterday the javascript on latest version of FF stopped working. I reset FF to default settings and javascript worked, now today it doesn't. I'm running Windows 7 on a desktop PC.

thanks

Could you give an example of a site or two where JavaScript is not working (address and details of what part isn't working)?

Firefox has only one global on/off setting for JavaScript, which you can check here:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste javas and pause while the list is filtered

(3) If the javascript.enabled preference is bolded and "user set" to false, double-click it to restore the default value of true

Other than that, there might be an issue with an add-on??

Setting the value to true worked, thanks. Oddly, there are also posts on this site which say the opposite, to make sure the value is set to false!!

Thanks for the update.

If this recurs regularly, for example, after exiting Firefox or restarting Windows, please see the following article: How to fix preferences that won't save.
