Did you try to reboot the computer?
Do a clean reinstall of the current Firefox release and delete the Firefox program folder before installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
- Download the Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
*https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
- Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your personal data like bookmarks is stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose personal data when you uninstall and reinstall or update Firefox, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then create a new profile to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Before doing all of that, I will say that I used my 2nd computer had the same exact issue. Then tried using safe mode, was able to signon using that... so do you still think I need to uninstall?
Does it work in your current computer in Safe Mode?
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (3-bar button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing the problem by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via *3-bar button > Exit (Power button)
- Windows: File > Exit
- Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox
- Linux: File > Quit
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems.
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Um, I did exactly as you said, it made no difference, doing this clean reinstall, and not sure but it never asked me if i wanted to keep personal data, just did a complete uninstall then per instructions reinstalled. Same issue.

I disabled a few, then when I disabled adblock, voila, I was able to sign in just fine... now any chance you can help me with that whole verifying issue where it freezes, even after I say ok, allow add on, then it goes into verifying and just goes nowhere...? Because even though I at least am now able to 'sign in' it still sits there at the verifying stage and effectively disallows me addons.
You can ask advice at the Adblock Plus forum if there are problems with this extension or with a filter list or if you need help to create a filter rule to block content.

OK NO, I am not having problems with ADblock plus, I just disabled it and now I have no trouble signing in. BUT FIREFOX is not letting me download successfully, the ADDon's and that is not ADBLOCK since I turned it off. So is anyone on Mozilla able to address that issue?
WELL I figured it out: Pretty Install is the culprit, I took it out ( extension) and now finally.... I am being allowed to install extensions/add ons, life can be normal again in Firefox for me... for now anyhow :P
until the next update...oy vey...
