My machine will suddenly run slow and closing down pages I usually find a page from 'Hotpops' sitting there.

Close it down and things return to normal. why the bloody thing has to slow the machine down as well as pop up i don't know but, of course, i suspect it is doing something - hijacking my machine perhaps.

This is put up as a Firefox page so the problem is within firefox somewhere. I've been around the menus and done what i can but I can't find way to stop it.

any help?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?
