"Plus sign" won't display on addon badge text
Using the 'browserAction.setBadgeText' API method with a text that has a plus character in it won't display the plus character. I've tried using the minus sign and it displays just fine. The plus sign won't be displayed.

If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Did you try this in the current Firefox release (57.0.1)?

Yes, it still happens in Firefox 57.0. The attached images show how it looks like with a plus sign in it and with a minus sign in it.
