my btinternet password doesnt seem to work on the set up in thunderbird
while setting up thunderbird i get the message invalid password while using the web bt email i use the same password.

If your username and password work at your providers webmail site then there is nothing wrong with them. Having the incorrect server settings or an overactive antivirus software causes the password error also. Get the current server settings from your provider and set the account up manually.
