How to transfer CalDAV/CardDAV Connections from one Machine to another Machine?

On my main machine (Linux) I am running Thunderbird with Lightning and have several CalDAV calendars connected. Furthermore there is also a CardDAV address book hooked up.

How can I transfer those CalDAV and CardDAV connections to a further machine?

I want to avoid setting it up manually by hand. Which files do I have to copy from ~/.thunderbird?

I guess something like:

- File storage.db
- File prefs.js (only the lines with "calendar")
- Directory calendar-data

But where is the connection for CardDAV stored?

Copy over the entire Thunderbird profile, and then remove the things you don't need on the new machine.

But how can I know which files and folders I don't need?

Maybe I could delete all existing mail profiles and remove them from the `prefs.js`. But where are they stored?

You can delete unneeded stuff via the Thunderbird GUI. Don't start messing with files in the profile.
