No, It doesn't solve the issue. It makes more issue. now none of the videos are working. But yes there is no broken screen now but all of the videos are now lagging. Now running smoothly. It's like picture is coming one after another.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Options/Preferences -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"

"Clear the Cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Hi I'm having the same issue, I think since latest one or two releases (now I'm running 83.0 on Win10 64bit). In safe mode, all is fine. In normal mode, some video displays corrupted graphic, like the screenshot from Sudipan, but audio is ok. It is not happening with all videos, eg. webm seems are displayed correctly. So I think it is something related to the codecs.. Anyway, all videos not working in FF are correctly played in Chrome. Attached screenshot is from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlVJviK0ci4

I already tried to disable all the add ons and even the codecs, also to enable/disable the add ons one by one.. I also tried to compare the about:config between normal and safe mode, but I did no find anything odd..

thanks

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Close and restart Firefox after modifying the setting for changes to take effect.

You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
