Is the cookie clearing function of CCleaner 100% redundant for those who use only Firefox as a browser and choose settings that delete all or nearly cookies when the browser closes? Ideally, I would like to dispense with CCleaner for cookie clearance and depend only on my Firefox browser settings for that. [The various other functions of CCleaner, and its overall value, are not part of my question.]

We do not recommend using other programs to 'clean' Firefox as the program can clean itself.

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar.
The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History
At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes.
At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY
Cache and Form And Search History and whatever else.
