restore toolbar/taskbar

I used my computer in a different location than home today, and now my normal taskbar is missing. I know there is an easy way to restore the file tools etc. bar at the top but I can't remember how it is done.

It sounds like maybe you are looking for the Menu bar. This is the bar that would have the File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, and Help drop-down menus on it.

Fortunately, this can be restored quite easily. If you press the menu button (three lines) in the top-right corner of Firefox and select Customize from that menu, you will be able to see a variety of different things that you can customize on the Firefox toolbar. In this specific case, you'll want to select Toolbars from the bottom of the screen and select Menu bar to make that bar visible again. You can close the tab when you are done making the necessary changes.

The Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars page also explains this information in more detail and with photos, if you need further guidance.

Hope this helps.
