That's the list of folder names. I need to see the files/folders inside Local Folders folder. Also, it might help to see a screenshot of your saved folders. I attached a sample of what a list of mail files might look like.

Did you export the entire profile, or just mailboxes? Was this a POP or IMAP account? If just mailboxes, can you do a screenshot of the list in File Explorer?

I exported the account and associated mailboxes. It is located in parent directory with active account. Thanks

With no screenshot, I can't be exact, but I'll try. I am assuming a POP account. Conceptually, First, set to offline mode by File>Offline>Work Offline. Then, create the POP account. If there were special local folders other than the default inbox and sent folders, create those too. These are all dummy entries, so create with the exact same name as the folders you have. Then, shut TB down and in File Explorer, copy the old folders over the folders that you created. You should be prompted for overwriting folders if you named them properly. And then you're done. This may have given you an understanding of what is needed. If this is insufficient, then I would need a screenshot of what you have.

Actually I dont want to set up again, I just want access to the old mail. If you need a screenshot let me know what u need and I will send. Thx!

Okay, just define the folders in Local Folders, using same name as the folders, omitting any suffixes, e.g., sbd or msf. These are just dummy place-holders. Now, exit TB and move the old folders such that they overwrite the dummy folders. Then restart TB and you should be able to view the folders.

Thanks! I will give it a go. Could I not just copy the mailboxes of old acct into my Local?

If done within TB, then it seems okay, but then you would already be able to view them. Again, I'm not seeing what you're seeing. But feel free to try it.

I cannot see in TB but will try and id doesnt work will give your answer a try. Seems a glaring omission to allow export of TB mail but no import.

I exported to simply backup after I deleted my mail acct. That would be fairly common thing but maybe screwed up somewhere....

Please send a screenshot of what folders you have from within File Explorer. I'm expecting to see folders with some ending in msf or sbd. That will help. Until then, I'm just guessing, since I don't think you tried my suggestion yet.

Here is screenshot of the file folders. I think I did what you said. I created a file folder for the old account and the mailboxes all came but no message. I ccd in all the messages and folder extentions (two for each mailbox, right?). Thx

I also added CODA since I cannot ID the account visually with the name assigned. If this might have screwed up transfer because the messages have to point to the original account somehow up I go back and leave it as it was.

David.....You got me on right track! I could not copy the parent into Local. The folders came over but the associated mail did not. I ended up copying just the ind mail folders and the associated messages into Local and they all appeared fine when I opened TB. I then created a CODA MAIL folder within the TB LOCAL Folder and moved the old folders into that to keep everything separate in my active email account. Thanks for hanging with this dummy......Best Regards.
