Overnight I am suddenly unable to attach a file to an email. When i try to attach, a list of folders is shown but when i click on each folder no files are shown.

In the bottom-right of the file selection dialog, is anything other than All Files (*.*) being shown? If so, might try choosing All Files again from the drop-down.
