The is a recent change in my Firefox experience. Every time I click search or move within search this highly irritating "shopper reports" column opens on the left side of my screen. I have to close it EVERY TIME. I DO NOT WANT THIS FEATURE; HOW DO I MAKE IT GO AWAY??? If I am stuck with it, I WILL choose another browser, although I prefer to stay with Firefox. I have loved Firefox until now.

You can also check for an add-on/toolbar that may be causing this by using the procedure in the troubleshooting extensions and themes article. Some toolbars can be installed by plugins, so also follow the instructions in the troubleshooting plugins article.

Had this problem too. You need to uninstall the software from Shopper Reports via Control Panel/Controls and Features/Shopper Reports (at least on Vista). This permanently gets rid of the annoying popup and also two buttons on your toolbar that indicate "Compare product prices" and "Compare travel rates".
