Do you have any Yahoo related extensions installed?
If so, disable or uninstall them or it.

I assume you are talking about the Yahoo Toolbar? You can try:

View > Toolbar > UNCHECK the Yahoo Toolbar


If you don't see the Yahoo Toolbar there, you can try to remove it from your Add/Remove Programs option in the PC.

The problem is not the toolbar - it's the menu bar.

Yahoo! just showed up on my Menu bar recently as well. It's irritating as stink. I don't want it there! Why is it there and how do I get rid of it???

On the Menu bar, select Tools>Add On. Under Extensions, find Yahoo...to the far right choose Remove. Then to the left, click on Restart Now. Yahoo should be gone

I tried this first. My problem is that nothing shows up under "Extensions". There's lots under add-ons :-(
