Pop-up blocker continuously fails to block http://cdn.optmd.com - served up by snopes.com and www.foodnetwork.com

Current version 3.6.18. Even with earlier versions, Firefox fails to block this advertising pop-up site. Especially likes to serve up netflix ads. I have images and shockwave turned off, so get blank window served up. www.snopes.com is a major culprit for generating this pop-up. How does it circumvent the Firefox browser's no pop-ups settings? Very annoying

This doesn't help.

Opting out after the pop-up appears is too late. That is shutting the barn door after the horse is gone. Cookies are flushed after each session. You would have to go to this website every time you login to the internet and set the opt-out cookie. Again - what is this advertising website doing that it is able to circumvent the Firefox pop-up blocker? Optmd.com has the nerve to call these "Pop-unders." If this site can do it, so can all others. This means Firefox's pop-up blocker is ineffectual.
