After installing Mozilla 5, my toolbar (bookmarks, file, etc.) is now above the screen and hard to see. How do I move it back down below the address bar?

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

If you run Firefox in full screen mode then press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle (Mac: command+Shift+F).

  • Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
  • Go to "View > Toolbars" to set which toolbars to display toolbars or hide.

Toolbars with a checkmark are visible.

  • Toggle the visibility state of a toolbar with a left-click to place or remove the check-mark
  • Click "Tabs on Top" to remove the check mark and place the Tab Bar at its original position just above the browser window.

There's always the possibility that your display is not sized correctly and the physical monitor frame is cutting off the edges of the screen image. On a flat screen LCD this can be corrected from the control buttons, which should have a setting for 'default' and it will automatically resize the image. On CRTs the image size is controlled manually by buttons on the front of the unit.

However, if you have a graphics card (which override the computer's default settings), adjusting the display image is usually done with the graphics display GUI, which if not in the Windows program menu is not always readily available and may require hunting around in the appropriate folder (Nvidia, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator, etc.). You may be forced to download an updated driver from the manufacturer, which is relatively easy from the appropriate manufacturer's Support page.
