How come after installing Firefox 6 I now can not see nor add photos to post on my blogs at blogspot.com even though other people using Firefox can see them after I had to post with Explorer?
I have 2 blogs with Blogger also known as blogspot.com and after I was forced to install Firefox 6 I can not see any of my photos on the blogs and I also can not post any new photos to the blogs. I was able to post to my blogs using Explorer and other people using Firefox 6 can see the photos okay. I have taken a screen snap of the problem if I need to email what the problem looks like to me. This is the 2nd time this has occurred and the 1st time the problem only lasted a few hours but now this is almost a full 24 hour day that it is not working.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
- Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
- Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
- Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
- Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.
Thanks for the reply but I am a bit lost in your instructions. When other people using Firefox 6 go to my blogs they see the pictures. I was able to post them using Explorer. I even uninstalled Firefox 6 and then reinstalled Firefox 6 and the problem is still there. There is nothing wrong with the blog but there is something going on in my pc that is messing around with this version of Firefox. And Norton found nothing wrong. Also if I click on the small grey box that has replaced a photo I get a page saying that it can not be found on this server. Which server? When I did the work using Explorer it got uploaded and the photos can be seen and all this has to go through the same IP server that my pc uses when I am on the net with Firefox. I attached a screensnap of my problem. I wonder if it will work here.
I forgot to mention that I do not have a problem seeing photos on other websites and blogs; only on my blogs using Firefox 6
Those images are coming from http://#.bp.blogspot.com with # between 1 and 4, so you can check the exceptions to make sure that you do not block the images from that domain.

OK people ...I haven't been able to upload since upgrading to firefox 6 .. and there seems to be some debate as to this being a Java problem..... after 2 days of trying to figure out the problem .. this is what I have found out:if you disable ALL your addons AND EXTENSIONS. I even disabled the JAVA PLATFORM (I have the latest JAVA installed on my comp). and start F6 in default mode you WILL NOT HAVE a problem .mine is working fine now ....I can upload to my galleries etc ..SO the problem lies in one of the add ons or extentions .. now I just have to figure out which one ...
I though that the problem is only with my own blogs but a blog search has shown that most of the blogs at blogspot.com run by Google as Blogger have the same problem in viewing their photos. As an average I found only 1 blog in more then 25 blogs that I was able to see any images. So there is a problem with Firefox 6 not being able to support blogspot.com but again it is only on my pc. And there is no problems with seeing photos on websites.
And yes I did check and there is nothing being blocked and I tried holding Shift key and reloading my blog but this did nothing. And I am afraid of making more problems for myself if I try some of the other suggestions posted here like getting rid of all my add ons and extensions because I need those for other on line things. There must be an easier way and less technical because I am far from being a techie.
sorry .. I have been trying for 3 days to fix this .. and that is the only way ..diable all extensions and add ons .. and restart on the default browser .. then it should work ..do not enable any of the java platforms in your extentions .. I have started adding some things back ..one at a time ...to try and pinpoint which one it is . so far .I have added back greasemonkey, colourful tabs, adlock plus, shareaholic, and shockplayer ......I think the problem was my own CONDUIT toolbar ... but I have found this to be the only solution ...seeing though firefox feels the need to release a new version every bloody six weeks .. no one can keep up with the compatability of the addons ....and it pisses me off.. when I get my browser sorted out just how I like it .. then upgrade firefox I lose half of them because they aren't compatable .. so keep them to a minimum because F7 comes out next month and you will more than likely have the same problem all over again
Thank you Amanda Rain for your info. And since I am able to post and see photos if I switch to Explorer for just these issues then I will wait for FF 7 to see if this problem gets dealt with on 7 but I am keeping your advice in a folder just in case. But don't I need Java to read some sites. I know in the past I could not visit some sites because I did not have some thing from Java that the site needed for me to read or see images and I routinely go to this site for info for one of my blogs.
Can you see such an image if you copy and paste the URL in the location bar?
To cor-el, I wish I can try that but when I click on one of the small grey boxes where a photo is supposed to be I get a page with this alert.

But as I think I have mentioned my brother also uses the new version of FF 6 and he can see the photos that I was able to post using Explorer 8. But I will try to see what will happen if I take the URL from the photo on Explorer and try to use it on FF. And I see that FF 7 is now in beta so maybe when that is released this problem will be solved. I never had this problem with FF5 and any older versions. And I do not like to have to use Explorer at all. And an IT guy I know sent me this link about people with similar issues but not exactly the same and there are several opinions as what to do. You seem to know very much about FF so I am wondering if you can check the postings at this link and I will wait for your opinion of some of their solutions. Thanks.

And if you want to see if you can see the photos on one of my blogs here is one of the blog's URL.
I just tried to get that URL from Explorer but now when using Explorer the photos will not become a page when I click on the photo so that idea is a no go. So that means I can not place a URL for a photo in the Mozilla FF in the location bar.
I has already found that page via a Google search (hence the link that I posted above).
That is another link then that I posted above (although it works for me):

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
You can also try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the "Safe mode" start window.
I just tried your suggestions and it did not help. I still can not see any photos on my own blogs and on most other blogs from blogspot.com but other people using FF6 can see all the photos including the photos that I had to use Explorer 8 to post to my blog. Unless I did not understand what you meant by restarting FF6 in default mode. Is the default mode used if I do not choose the Safe mode. If this is the case then I really did try all your suggestions. Too bad, I was really hoping that it will work. I also tried other suggestions by cor-el and those also did not help so I guess I will have no choice but to wait for FF7 and see if this problem goes away and until then I will have to use Explorer to use and check my blogs.
I found out that some other people were having a similar problem on FF6 but with their Yahoo email. Both show a similar problem 404 page but on theirs it mentions Yahoo and on mine it is blogspot.com so here is what I see if I click on one of those little grey boxes where the photos are supposed to be.

But they seem to have solved the problem by getting rid of a program called Panda but I do not see that program on my remove program page. From what I gathered the problem is that Apache/2.2.9 ...... is part of the problem.
The file(s) are on the server and if you can't access them then that means that something between Firefox and that web server is causing the problem.
The first what comes to mind is security software that is blocking content or maybe malware.
I finally had the time to do a long on line chat with a Symantic Norton support agent and after checking everything with my Norton product we finally uninstalled the Norton and the problem I am having with my blog on Firefox still exists. I can not post nor see photos on my blogs and can not see photos on most other blogs at blogspot.com But if I use Explorer there are no problems; I can post and see all photographs. But I do not want to have to use Explorer. I really do not trust the security issues using Explorer and with Explorer I have to load one photo at a time to my blog post while with Firefox I can highlight 15 or 30 photos and have them uploaded one at a time by the program, not me. And by the way the Norton agent was able to change my Firefox back to Version 5 and I still have the problem that started only when I was forced by Firefox to upgrade to Version 6. The problem is not with a security feature on my PC and not from any malware. If it was malware it would affect my PC no matter which browser I was using. I thank you cor-el for your attempt to help but I need more advice so help please from any one who has endured this problem and got it fixed.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

This is getting a bit too techie for me. I am hoping an IT guy I know can have the time to come over and do this for me at a cheap price or help me with remote access. My personal problems being disabled with mobility problems and trying to exist on a gov't. Disability pension. I used to be a photographer but no more.
Back to the issue: How would I know which files are corrupt so as not to copy them? This might look like a silly question to some people but not to me. thanks
I found a way to work around this problem that I am having with the latest FF 6. I had to install the Google Chrome browser but not set as my default browser so now when I open Chrome it is at my FF home page with all my bookmarks but no tool bars. And I am able to load multiple photos into the blog uploader for my blog postings. So for working on my blog and setting up links from other sites back to my blog I use this Chrome/FF combo and for regular web searching I will use the regular FF with my tool bars. So until FF fixes this problem that is what I will have to do. My only worries about this for now is if it will still work when Chrome gets the next update and Google is updating Chrome very often.
