I am able to view web pages created with ASP.NET in my Android in a hosted site on the cloud. However, I cannot see the same site if I copy it to my Intranet's IIS for local access

Can you browse the IIS site using Firefox? Can you browse it in Firefox mobile with Phony installed and set to Desktop Firefox?

Hi. The problem is that I was writting the full URL in the browser for my local server like this: http://HP4100/Page.htm. The browser resolved it to http://www.hp4100.com/Page.htm and of course it could never find the page. Then I keyed it like this: http://192.168.1.101/Page.htm and it worked just fine. The question now is, how can I instruct the browser to not add the "www" and the ".com" to the server name automatically?

On my home network I can browse to my internal http server using its internal dns entry (typing my-server loads http://my-server/index.html). Not sure what is wrong in your case.
