I have already restarted my computer after updating the latest version of firefox... TWICE... and whenever I go into the browser it continues to say I do not have the latest version. What is wrong?

I have downloaded the newest version of firefox and tried using the browser. It continues to tell me that I do not have the latest version of firefox. I restarted my computer... And it says the same thing. So I downloaded it again, restarted again. Same problem. What is going on?

You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. It appears that page is no longer being maintained. You appear to have the latest Firefox 8.0.1 installed

If you want the Google search page as your home page, a new, updated version is now built-in to Firefox. Reset your home page to about:home for that new display.
