Can't customize FF 29?
I just downloaded firefox 29 from using 28. Is there a way to detach the back button so i can put it on the left side of my home button? I used to have it laid out to my back button all the way to the left then the forward button was to the right of that and then my home button was to the right of that. I dont like that it seems less customizable now. Also, I use to be able to move my Stumbleupon toolbar under my Norton toolbar and now they have reversed and it wont let me move my stumbleupon toolbar under my norton one like it use to let me. Help!!! thank you

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore some functionality that was lost or that changed with the arrival of the Australis styling in Firefox 29.
thank you, I can get used to the new look, but I would like to be able to move my stumbleupon toolbar down bellow my norton toolbar. Is there a way to do that with the current version of Firefox? thank you
Michael were you able to move the reload button back to where it belongs? I did not see a way. I have no idea in hell why they would dock that to he address bar and thus FORCE us to use it the way they want to use it.
I was not able to figure it out. I agree with you. I used firefox over chrome solely because of the customization options it had. I want to be able to switch my two toolbars though because when my stumbleupon toolbar is on the top it sometimes dissapears, but when it is on the bottom it is fine.
This article mahbe helpful for you:
I got it all figured out finally. You have to go through a series of setting the that classic restore. As soon as I finish up a few more machines here I'll post a blow by blow. You do have to enable 'movable' on a number of items to get it done.
GREAT THANK YOU. to the other person, i saw that video, but it wont let me swap my toolbars

You should be able to reorder toolbars via the method posted in my reply here:
that addon is not compatible with ff 29. i tried doing the method at the bottom of the page on that thread, but i dont even see my stumbleupon toolbar listed

I was trying to refer to the part about using code in userChrome.css to modify the -moz-box-ordinal-group values of each toolbar in such a way that the toolbars show in the order that you want and not about the Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions. In current Firefox versions most toolbars have the -moz-box-ordinal-group: 1 CSS property that makes toolbars appear in the order as in the DOM tree. Giving a toolbar a higher -moz-box-ordinal-group value will make this toolbar to appear lower.
Thats to complicated for me lol.
If you do not like the new interface, possibly worth a try the Firefox ESR release. http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/
