Chosen solution

You need to connect to Sync using a pre-Firefox 29 version to restore a connection to the Sync server and try to recover your data. Then follow the instructions to update your Sync account for Firefox 29. See this KB article - Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more

Firefox 29+ uses a hidden Recovery Key and no way to enter the old "Key".

Three years of inactivity? Your data may not be there, Sync wasn't intended to be a data storage cloud. It was created to keep multiple Firefox installations synchronized.
