When I try to sync I get the error: Wrong Recovery Key. Sync will automatically retry this action.
Well, I've run into a problem with Sync (new version). I am using Firefox 31. I went ahead and deleted my old account and created a new one as I wanted to be able to sync my bookmarks between devices. Unfortunately, when I created the new account and I did the sync, my Android devices ended up with a mixed mess of the bookmarks that were there and the bookmarks as they are now on my desktop. I wanted to clear the bookmarks from Sync so I deleted the account I had created (apparently, that's the only way to remove the saved data from the servers) and erased all the setting in Firefox on my devices. I went ahead an recreated the account again using the same email address and that went fine on my desktop. I was able to log into the accounts on my devices as well. Unfortunately, the Sync process isn't working as I now get the same error every time I try to sync: Wrong Recovery Key. Sync will automatically retry this action. I'm guessing I must have confused the server by deleting and then recreating the account with the same email address. Is there a solution to this issue that lets me keep the same user account?

There was a bug last week that had this error when the logs said there was a mismatched key. The work around was to remove the account (not delete) from the the device and add it again to get a new key from the new sync server. Try that.
If there are still issues, please grab some logs
- How do I turn on sync logs:
- Open about:config and turn on: services.sync.log.appender.file.logOnSuccess and services.sync.log.logger.engine.bookmarks
- Restart Firefox and look at: about:sync-log
- Logs and error messages will be located ^
pastebin.mozilla.com is handy for grabbing the logs and sharing them via a link.
